FAQ

GENERAL

  • Where are you located? Do you have a studio? We see our clients in two different private gyms in Quebec (Westmount and Saint Hyacinthe) and one in West Los Angeles, California. If you would rather train at home and you live in Montreal (Monteregie) or Los Angeles, let us know - we’ll come to you.

YOGA

  • Do you have drop-in classes? You are welcome to try out a class at any time. Please call or email to let us know you are coming at least two days before the class takes place.
  • How do I sign up for class? If you are interested in enrolling, please call or send us an email - we’ll make sure you are placed in the right class for you.
  • What do I need to bring to class? A yoga mat, a towel (optional), water, and comfortable clothes.
  • How long are private sessions? Generally, one hour, although it is up to you. You may request a longer session (up to 2 hours) at extra cost.
  • How long are group classes? Generally, one hour for beginning classes, and longer (90 minutes) for more advanced classes. Class times will be posted on the schedule.
  • Where do you teach? My teaching schedule (including locations) varies.  The yoga and group class schedules will be posted soon.  I am available to teach in Montreal and the Monteregie area (Quebec). Private yoga sessions can be scheduled in Los Angeles as well.
  • I have a bad back. What do you recommend? While yoga is an excellent way to help heal back pain, joining a group class might not be the best option depending on the nature of the pain. After consulting with relevant professionals (doctor, physical therapist, osteopath), you might benefit best from private yoga sessions, in which an appropriate program is tailored to your needs. With the basics covered in private sessions, you will be better equipped to join group classes, lessening the chance of injury.

EXERCISE

  • I have never exercised before. Will I be sore after our first workout? Not necessarily, though you may be. We take care to provide the easiest transition into exercise as possible. What that means is that we won’t push you to do more than you can reasonably handle. If you have any concerns about this, please contact us - we will be happy to talk with you.
  • I live in Los Angeles. Can you train me? Absolutely! Please contact us for updated information on private training and group courses in the Los Angeles/beach cities area.
  • Do I have to join a gym to train with you? Not at all. Your training sessions (and programme) are adapted to your needs. If you prefer to exercise at home, outside, or even in a gym, you’re covered! Also, to train at home, it is not necessary to buy a lot of expensive equipment.

SPORT

  • It’s been 20 years since I played hockey. Can you prepare me? Yes! We provide off-ice training in strength and movement. Please contact us for more information.
  • What kinds of sports do you train people for? While the bulk of our clients train for soccer, tennis, hockey, and track & field, we also train cyclists, gymnasts, and climbers.
